As much as Disney is a must do on a visit to Florida, Kennedy Space centre has to be on the list and way up at the top – A fascinating day awaits, dare we say kids of all ages.
Wonder at the early days, see space flight evolve through the years to the time of the shuttle and on after the shuttle program has finished. Climb aboard a Startek Enterprise flight deck and take up the position of Spock or even James T Kirk.
The centre has all of the hostorical information but a fantastic guided coach tour awaits vistors where you pass by the launchpads and launch vehicles of the historical space
vehicles. See the VAB Vehicle assembly building which was used for the assembly of the Shuttle and the original control centres from those early days on space flight as man reached out for the moon.
Tours start at 10 a.m. and depart continuously every 15 minutes. Last tour departs at 2:45 p.m. Kennedy Space Center Bus Tours run approximately 2 hours and is included with admission.
There really is a great days entertainment for all ages from museum where you can touch moonrock, see orginal vehicles, both land and space used by the space mission and if you want to, come back for a second day if you didn’t get to see the Astronaut Hall of Fame.
